Look no further than your backyard (or kitchen table) to discover nature.

When my son, Craig, was very small, he would find these pods on the sidewalk.  He called them, "Funny Seeds."  I did not want to ask him why he thought they were funny.  I didn't want to make my ignorance and lack of humor any more obvious to him than it already was.     

This pod reveals compartmentalized seeds through a semi-transparent skin.  

Nature is all about repetition, pattern, and visual rhythm.  This arrangement of 13 seeds appears almost as if it is sheet music - so musical, and, I guess, funny.
