For me, journaling is a form of personal publishing. It is my thought process to sketch out and begin to discover and clarify some question that I've been fumbling around with. Usually, I do not start off with the intention to share my journal pages with anyone. But often, I do share my raw, personal pages as examples and conversation starters for others interested in journaling. If I've got a journal idea that I want to take to the next level, I work up a second draft in a project format and send it out to development partners that way. And my publishing workflow goes from there. As an artist/author and as a person, I'm very quiet. I don't need to act like an imposing authority figure. But I do have to come to grips with the responsibility of authorship. To me, that just means that I'm learning to appreciate that I'm someone who is tapped into these sort of mystical sources; I'm someone who is deeply connected to nature and the universe; I'm someone who is perceptive and analytical; I'm someone who makes observations, models, and stories. And even though I'm a very quiet person and it seems counter-intuitive, I make my best effort to publish and share creative insight in an honest, authentic way. And as a person capable of all these things, I am here to change the world and build the future. So here I am, world... I'm not just hanging out. After-all, if I don't believe in my work, how can I expect anyone else to believe in it? How about you? Who do you think you are? What is your identity? Why do you believe in yourself?
